G. Patrick Smits, Senior Vice President – Pat Smits leads the construction and asset management teams at Covenant.  Pat joined Covenant in January of 2009.  Previously, Pat was President of BH Construction Services where he was responsible for construction on BH's portfolio of 35,000 apartment units.  Previously, Pat was President of Residential Services with Camel Partners where he was responsible for the day to day performance of the portfolio of over 16,000 units located from Washington D.C. to Hawaii.  Mr. Smits had reporting to him 3 Regional VPs, Director of Training, VP of Construction Services and the Director of IT Services.  Prior to joining Camel Partners, Mr. Smits was the President of Walden Properties and a Senior Vice President of WMC, the holding company of Walden.  Mr. Smits was responsible for all oversight, direction, and performance of a 35,000 owned asset portfolio as well as a 10,000 unit fee managed portfolio which consisted of up to 142 communities in Texas, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico and California.  In his role at Walden, Mr. Smits supervised 3 Senior Vice Presidents, 2 Divisional Vice Presidents, 14 District Managers, a Sr. Manager of Purchasing, a training and marketing division that consisted of 3 regional training managers and 3 regional property accounting support associates.  Prior to joining Walden, Mr. Smits held several positions for Equity Residential Property Trust up to and including Area Vice President.  At Equity Residential, Mr. Smits managed portfolios in the Northeast, Southeast and Western United States and was responsible for directing the acquisition due diligence team for investments in the East.  Mr. Smits has extensive experience in property management, having advanced in positions from Maintenance Director to President, and once was the owner and president of a fee property management company.  Mr. Smits has extensive experience in overseeing multi-million dollar renovation projects as well as overall construction management projects throughout his career.  Mr. Smits is a member of the National Apartment Association, a board member of the National Multi Housing Council and has sat on the board of directors of the South Coast Apartment Association, as well as the Greater Apartment Association of Greater Dallas.

Laura Hershenow, Asset Manager – is responsible for asset management and investor reporting for stabilized assets.  Laura joined Covenant Capital Group in 2007 as an Operations Manager responsible for sponsor marketing, event planning, and general operations support and analysis.  She is the document custodian.  Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Spanish from Vanderbilt University (2004).

Stephanie Lehman, Asset Manager – is responsible for asset management and investor reporting for stabilized assets.  Before coming to Covenant Capital Group in 2007, she worked, from 2005-2007, for Brookside Properties, Inc.'s Multi-Family division assisting with the acquisition, disposition, and refinance of multi-family assets.  From 2002-2005 Stephanie worked for RCAI Medical Sales.  Stephanie graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelors of Business Administration and a minor in Economics (2001).

Brock Sturdivant, Construction Management – joined Covenant in 2007, and is responsible for renovation and construction management.  From 2006 to 2007, Brock worked for Healthcare Realty Trust focusing on acquisitions and new developments.  From 2003 to 2006, Brock was employed by Fifth Third Bank working in Commercial Credit and Commercial Real Estate lending.  From 1998-2001, Brock served as a consultant with TriAD Environmental Consultants, Inc., and from 1996-1998 he served as a consultant with Tetra Tech EM, Inc.  Brock holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame (2003), a Master of Science from Vanderbilt University (1996), and a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University (1993).

Tanya Towne, Asset Manager – Tanya joined Covenant Capital Group as an asset manager in 2007.  She is responsible for asset management and reporting for stabilized assets.  From 2006 to 2007, Tanya was with Holladay Properties as a Property Manager.  Tanya worked for Cushman and Wakefield of Florida, Inc., from 1995 to 2006, as an Assistant Property Manager.  From 1989-1995, Tanya worked for Bingham Realty, Inc. as an Assistant Property Manager.  Tanya holds a Bachelors in Finance from the University of South Florida (2002).
